A road accident on the Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong highway on Wednesday morning has left two people dead and several others injured.
The accident happened at Fulchori of Chakaria upazila, after a micro bus had a head on collision with a passenger bus.
The deceased have been identified as Liton, 28, son of Matiur Rahman of Jessore Sadar upazila and Saidur Rahman, 35, son of Makshudur Rahman of the same area. They were going to Jessore from Cox's Bazar with a cargo of shrimp.
Sub-inspector of the Dulhajara Malumghat highway police outpost Jasim Uddin has confirmed the news of the accident.

He said: “A goods laden micro bus on the way to Chittagong from Cox’s Bazar, collided head on with a passenger bus of Starline Paribahan, which left two people dead and several others injured. The injured were later rescued and sent to the hospital.”
