Four killed in a Sirajganj road accident

The incident took place at the western end of the Bangabandhu Bridge around 4pm on Saturday. The four deceased included the two drivers and two bus passengers. One of the passengers who died was Liton Chatarji, 32. The identities of the others have not yet been ascertained. Bangabandhu police station OC Daus Hossain said: “A Pabna-bound Nightingale Paribhan bus from Dhaka collided with a goods loaded truck heading in the opposite direction, leaving four people dead on the spot.” On receiving information, the police rushed to the location and rescued the injured, sending them to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital. Traffic Inspector Miladul Huda said: “The accident was caused due to reckless driving and disrupted traffic for a few hours.”
