The returning officer for the Khulna City Corporation election has said that the voter turnout was estimated to be 55-60%.
Speaking from the Election Commission control room at Khulna city's Shonadanga Divisional Women's Sports Complex Tuesday evening, Returning Officer Yunus Ali said the turnout was 55-60% after voting ended at 4pm.
Votes were cast from 8am to 4pm at 289 polling centres across the city, which has 4,93,107 voters – 248,986 men and 244,527 women – in 31 wards.
