The vehicles are moving slowly due to the ongoing work on the rail overpass in Fatehpur rail crossing

Update : 12 May 2018, 01:58 AM

A 26-km tailback has taken shape on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway from Feni, causing immense sufferings to the commuters.

Several hundred vehicles were seen stuck on both sides on the busy highway stretching from Chouddagram municipality to Fatehpur rail crossing in the district on Friday.

The vehicles were moving slowly due to the ongoing work on the rail overpass in Fatehpur rail crossing.

Rahmat Ullah, additional superintendent of highway police in Cumilla region, blamed the construction work for the traffic jam.

Though the highway police were trying to ease the vehicular movement, it could not be possible for them to bring the situation under control for the construction work, he added.
