Footage of Narayanganj sub-registrar taking bribes goes viral

The solicitation or acceptance of bribes is a serious breach of public trust. Nevertheless, it’s commonplace in government offices across the country, especially when you are dealing with the police, registry office staff, and permit services. A video clip of Eshak Ali Mandal, sub-registrar at Araihazar Upazila Land Registry Office in Narayanganj, is making the rounds on Facebook, in which Mandal is seen releasing files only of those greasing his palm.
