Two people have been hacked to death by miscreants in Begumganj upazila of Noakhali district.
Of the deceased, one was identified as Mohammad Ali, a local drug peddler.
The incident took place at Chawkidar Bari Friday night.
Begumganj police station Officer-in-Charge Firoz Alam Molla said: “On information, a team of police went to the spot.
“We are estimating that they might have been murdered over drug related issues.”
He said they were investigating into the matter.
