A woman and her five-year-old son were killed following a head-on collision between a tractor and CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Arjuna in Moulvibazar's Barlekha upazila on Friday night.
The accident took place around 9:30pm as the tractor collided with the auto-rickshaw, leaving the auto-rickshaw passenger Kalpona Begum, 30, a resident of Chandarpur village, and her son Mahfuzur Rahman critically injured, said Barlekha police station Officer-in-Charge Shahidur Rahman.
Later, the injured were taken to Beanibazar Health Complex where doctors declared the duo dead.
