Ferry services on Shimulia-Kathalbari route have resumed after 8 hours of disruption.
The authorities suspended the ferry services on the route from 2am till 10am on Monday due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.
"Six ferries, anchored in the middle of Padma river, have already left for their respective destinations," said Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Shimulia ghat Assistant General Manager Shah Md Khaled Newaz.
"Due to low visibility of beacon lights and marking points, the ferry services were suspended," he added.
Around three hundred vehicles were waiting to crossing the river using the ferry services.
