Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday directed the Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong to ensure the proper treatment of ailing former MP Mohammad Yusuf.
Prime minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said she gave the directive after coming to know about about Yusuf’s health and living condition through social media.
Ihsanul Karim said prime minister's Private Secretary Sajjadul Hasan conveyed the directive to the deputy commissioner of Chittagong.
Mohammad Yusuf has been living in harsh conditions for the last few days and the news of his chronic disease went viral in the social media.
