When the four BAF pilots jumped into the Bay of Bengal to save themselves after two training jets crashed over Maheshkhali on Wednesday, two local siblings sacrificed their fishing net, their only means of earning, to save them.
The siblings are Kamal Pasha, 30, and Mohammad Mubin, 20, sons of Nurul Haque from Ghonar Para area of Maheshkhali municipality.
BAF Squadron Leader Arman told UNB that Kamal and Mubin were the first ones to come forward to rescue the pilots after they jumped out of their jets using parachutes.

Flight Lieutenant Iftekhar said it would have been tough to find the pilots if the two brothers did not rush to rescue them.
Meanwhile, Kamal and Mubin said while they were fishing in the sea on their boat around 6pm, they saw something falling down from the sky.
"We rescued Wing Commander Azim from the sea shore and he immediately called his wife using our phone," said Kamal.

Later, members of the Air Force identified contacted the fishermen over the phone and rescued their co-workers.
They also rescued two other pilots in their fishing boat from the nearby area, the siblings said.
Meanwhile, recovery of the two training aircraft is in process.

Air Chief Marshal Abu Esrar, BAF Head visited the spot around 2pm on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, two training jets of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) crashed in Maheshkhali upazila following a midair collision.
Five people were also injured as parts of the jets fell on them.
