Update : 29 Nov 2017, 02:16 PM
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has busted a small arms-making factory adjacent to Akuyai Nasirabadh College in Mymensingh. The elite force raided a house around 1am on Wednesday. They detained one Sohel, 22, from the house where arms were being made. RAB sources said arms, ammunition, and huge amount of arms-making equipment were recovered from the house. RAB 14 captain Lieutenant Colonel Shariful Islam told the Dhaka Tribune: “Acting on a tip-off, we conducted a raid in the house where arms were being made. “The house is owned by one Moinuddin. We can call it a small arms factory.” He said the house owner’s son Nurrudin has fled the scene. When asked about militant links, the RAB officer said: “We have not found any such evidence but we are investigating the matter. “We hope a lot of information will be revealed during interrogation.” He said they were trying to arrest the others involved with the matter.
