Dangerous online Blue Whale challenge has claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy in Dhaka’s Mirpur area. Sayen Dewan, son of Babu Dewan, reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan on Monday.

Mirpur police station Sub-Inspector Atikur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune: “A whale was found carved on his left arm. “We think it is a case of the Blue Whale challenge but we are still investigating the matter.” Mirpur police station Inspector (Investigation) Mizanur Rahman said: “We found his mobile phone broken in his room. It has been sent for forensic examination.”
