A mobile court has seized 4,000 tons of rice from a warehouse in Chittagong.
The 80,000 sacks of rice were seized from Ahmed Trading in Sagarika BSCIC Industrial area on Thursday.
Executive Magistrate Syed Murad Ali said: “We conducted the drive as Ahmed Trading stored the rice in the warehouse for more than a month.”

Meanwhile, the mobile court also detained warehouse manager Tarek under the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009.
Murad told the Dhaka Tribune: “Legal action will be taken against Masud and Brothers who stored the rice in the warehouse.”
