Maritime ports asked to hoist signal 3

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal No 3 due to the inclement weather. The Met office made the announcement on Sunday, saying stormy weather may affect the ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of the country – as deep convection is taking place over the bay. The Met Office also advised all fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay to anchor close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
