One hacked to death in Bagerhat

The deceased was Bishambar Roy, 45, son of Nilombar Roy, from Pipuljhury village under Mongla upazila's Dhopakhali union. Locals said they had found the body in a ditch and informed police. Kachua police station officer-in-charge Kabirul Islam Molla said miscreants hacked Bishambar to death on Sunday and dumped the body. Police recovered the body and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The reason for the murder could not be known yet. Bishambar's wife Trishna Roy identified the body. She said her husband had been living with his second wife in Dakop area for about six months since the marriage. “He did not keep in touch with us,” Trishna said.
