Earlier in the day, the Birdem authority has filed another lawsuit against four named and 20-25 unnamed persons over attack on doctors and vandalism in the hospital following the patient’s death.

The main four accused are Dhaka’s Additional Police Super ABM Masud Hossain, Ishak Hossain Babu, former APS of former state minister for labour Munnujan Sufian, Farhana Nasrin, a relative of the patient who died in the hospital and Avir Hossain, a BBA student of East West University.

The hearing of the case will be held later in the day; the court of Md Mizanur Rahman has passed the order after taking the statement of the complainant.

A patient named Sirajul Islam died in the Birdem General Hospital on April 13 due to alleged negligence of the doctors. Following the death, some 20-25 people attacked the doctors and vandalised the hospital.

The doctors went on strike protesting the assault on them and the vandalism. Later, the doctors called off the strike as Masud Hossain was withdrawn.
