Haider Akbar Khan Rano, a renowned leftist leader, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Monday after he tested positive for coronavirus.
Akbar, also a presidium member of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), is now taking treatment at the hospital at cabin number 107, Prof Dr Mojibur Rahman told the UNB.
He has been suffering from fever for the last four days.
