Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus has asked all authorities concerned to take effective steps to ease waterlogging in Chittagong city.
He issued the directive in a meeting with top government officials of the district at Chittagong Circuit House on Wednesday.
Yunus urged journalists to write reports regularly on waterlogging in the port city, which surfaces every year during the monsoon.
He also asked experts to keep their eyes on the waterlogging situation in Chittagong.
Stating that waterlogging is a severe problem, the chief adviser asked the local administration to create an instance of their good services by effectively mitigating the longstanding crisis.
