A new website has been launched to preserve the timeline of the July mass uprising and make it accessible to the public.
The website was inaugurated by Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam on Tuesday afternoon at an event held at the Secretariat.
In his inaugural speech, the adviser said that the events of the July mass uprising have been chronologically presented on this website based on various information published in newspapers.
He thanked the relevant officials and said: “This website will provide a clear understanding of the role of the media and will play an important role in research as well.”
He also suggested that the Information Department (PID) add editorial content related to the movement, news of martyrs and the injured, as well as video content.
In her special speech, Mahbuba Farjana, secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, said: “The initiative to create this website on the timeline of the July mass uprising is a groundbreaking step.
