Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Thursday hosted a luncheon in honor of outgoing advisers Md Mahfuj Alam and Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain following a meeting of the Council of Advisers at his Tejgaon office in the capital.
The Chief Adviser’s Press Wing said in the afternoon that Yunus also posed for a photograph with the two outgoing advisers after the meeting.
Earlier on Wednesday, Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam and LGRD and Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain submitted their resignation letters in person to the chief adviser at the State Guest House Jamuna.
Their resignations will take effect soon after the Election Commission (EC) announces the schedule for the upcoming general polls.
