The government has extended the deadline for submitting asset statements by government employees to February 15, as per a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday.
According to the notification, government employees are required to submit their asset details in sealed envelopes to the designated authorities.
Initially, the deadline for submission was set for November 30 but was later extended to December 31.
This is the second extension granted, providing employees additional time to comply.
Following the formation of the new government, approximately 1.5 million public employees were mandated to disclose their assets.
This move aims to ensure greater transparency and accountability within public service.
