The first meeting of the interim government, formed after the downfall of the Awami League government due to student protests, was held on Friday afternoon at the State Guest House Jamuna.
According to the meeting sources, in the first meeting of the advisory council, various unresolved issues were discussed.
This included the repeal of the provisions of the Cyber Security Act that are misapplied.
Moreover, the government is also thinking of appointing students as advisory assistants to involve them in running the government.
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan and Post and Telecommunications Adviser Md Nahid Islam briefed reporters after the meeting. Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud was also present on the occasion.
They said law and order and economic issues were also discussed in the meeting.
Nahid Islam said they have joined the advisory council to ensure the voice of the students. Besides, student representatives will have the opportunity to work as assistants to advisors.
