The government has set office hours during the month of Ramadan from 9am to 3:30pm for all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous institutions.
The decision was taken at a regular cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday.
After the meeting, Dr Shamsul Arefin, senior secretary (Coordination and Reform) of the Cabinet Division briefed reporters about the new office timing.
He also said there would be a 15-minute prayer break from 1:15pm to 1:30pm during Ramadan.
