Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman left Dhaka for Qatar early on Tuesday for a two-day official visit, accompanied by a high-level government delegation.
The delegation includes the prime minister's adviser on finance and planning, the prime minister's foreign affairs adviser, and the state minister for power, among others.
During the visit, the high-level Bangladesh delegation is expected to take part in official engagements in Qatar.
The foreign minister is scheduled to return home on the night of August 19.
