The US Embassy in Dhaka has advised visa applicants to schedule their interviews at the US embassy or consulate in their home country, warning that applying from another country may make it more difficult to obtain a visa.
In a message issued on Sunday, the embassy said many applicants choose to apply from another country to secure an earlier interview appointment.
The embassy said applicants should schedule their visa interviews at the US embassy or consulate in their country of residence.
It added that applying from another country may reduce the chances of visa approval and that visa application fees paid for such applications are non-refundable.
