Bangladesh-Nepal relations: Trade and commerce roundtable held

A roundtable regarding trade and commerce between Bangladesh and Nepal was held in Kathmandu on Sunday.


The Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs (AIDIA) and the Bangladesh Embassy in Nepal jointly hosted the discussion, titled “Nepal-Bangladesh Relations: Exploring Trade and Commerce.”


The major objectives of the program was to discuss the possible trading arenas between the two countries focusing on connectivity through which bilateral trade can flourish and benefit both the countries.


Bangladesh Commerce Secretary Shubhashish Bose delivered the keynote speech at the event, while Nepali Commerce Secretary Chandra Kumar Ghimire also spoke on the occasion.


Bangladesh Ambassador in Nepal Mashfee Binte Shams delivered the closing remarks.


During the meeting, policy experts, academician, business persons, government authorities, representatives from business associations, media persons among other concern stakeholders actively participated in the discussion.
