Under the agreement, the countries would allow their public and private airlines to operate flights between the two countries. The cabinet approved a proposal to this end at its regular meeting at the Prime Minister's Office on Monday, said Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam during a briefing after the meeting.
The treaty was adopted during the 72nd session of the General Assembly, Shafiul said.
“In the next session, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the UN secretary general will sign the treaty at a convenient time,” he said.
