The closing and prize distribution ceremony of the SGCCP Night Golf Tournament 2026 was held at the Shaheen Golf and Country Club, Patenga, in Chittagong on Saturday.
Air Vice Marshal Md Abdullah Al-Mamun, Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Zahurul Haque and president of Shaheen Golf and Country Club, Patenga, attended the program as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.
Sifat Ahmed Chaudhuri, vice chairman of ABN Formulation & Trading Limited, was present as the special guest.
Navin Anwar, managing director of ABN Formulation & Trading Limited, along with senior officials of the Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force, civil dignitaries and tournament participants, also attended the event.
A total of 169 golfers, including 26 lady golfers, took part in the night tournament.
In the competition, Squadron Leader Md Fabe-Uz-Zaman emerged as the winner, while Lieutenant Commander Aminul Islam secured the Best Gross title. Md Gias Uddin finished as runner-up and Commander Jabedur Rahim became second runner-up.
In the ladies’ category, Airen Sultana won the title, while Kamrun Nesa Ehsan received the Ladies Best Gross award. The Nearest to the Pin prize went to Squadron Leader Sadman Joy.
Organisers said the tournament was held in a festive atmosphere and highlighted the growing interest in golf among members of the armed forces and civilians alike.
