The three-day long '51st Aga Khan Golf Cup Golf Tournament 2025' has started at the Kurmitola Golf Course from January 16 to 18, 2025.
The tournament was officially inaugurated on Friday, by the Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, BPP, OSP, GUP, NSWc, PSC, who was present as the chief guest.
Around 500 golfers, including domestic and international members of the Kurmitola Golf Club and golfers from other golf clubs across the country, are participating in this tournament.
Among the distinguished guests present at the event were Lieutenant General Mohammad Shahinul Haque, OSP, BSP, NDC, HDMC, PSC, Commandant of the National Defense College and Vice President of the Kurmitola Golf Club, Mr Madad Ali Virani, President of the Prince Aga Khan Shia Imami Ismaili Council, Club Captain Brigadier General Mohammad Touhid Hossain, SGp, NDC, PSC, Chairman of the Tournament Committee Brigadier General Abidur Reza Khan (Retd), Executive Committee members of the concerned club, Chief Executive Officer Colonel Mohammad Shahidul Haque (Retd), Club Secretary Colonel SM Sajjad Hossain, BSP, SPP, PPM, AFWC, PSC, Lady Captain Professor Shaheen Mahbuba Haque, General Manager Club Affairs Lt Colonel Abu Mohammad Saidur Rahman (Retd), General Manager Golf Operations Lt Colonel Mohammad Anwar Hossain (Retd), senior officers of the Bangladesh Air Force, and senior officials of the Prince Aga Khan Shia Imami Ismaili Council Bangladesh, along with other military and civilian officials.
The award ceremony will be held on January 18, 2025, at the banquet hall of the Kurmitola Golf Club.
