The Center for Research and Training East West University (CRTEWU) organized a seminar titled "Innovation in Education" at the SM Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery of the university.
The event on Tuesday featured insightful presentations by education experts, Ferowza Sawpnil and Tansum Tanha, from the Asian University for Women (AUW).
Ferowza, chief teaching fellow and program coordinator for the MA in Education, from the Asian University for Women, shared her experiences implementing innovative teaching programs.
Her presentation highlighted the interactive learning approach adopted in the program and the unique initiative of students publishing books based on their curriculum.
She also discussed the Afghan Online Learning Project “Roshini e Omid,” which provides educational opportunities for Afghan girls from classes 10 to 12. She discussed the challenges and successes of this project in providing quality education to girls in the Taliban reign.
Tanha, a teaching fellow in the MA in Education program from the Asian University for Women, focused her involvement in the Primary Training Program in the Rohingya Refugee Camps, where she oversaw the training of 1100 educators.
Professor Dr M Ashik Mosaddik, pro-vice chancellor of East West University, presided over the seminar session. In his address, he emphasized the importance of innovation in education and the need for educators to explore new approaches to meet the evolving needs of students.
Professor Dr Muhammed Shahriar Haque, Executive Director, CRTEWU, gave the introductory speech, and Professor Dr Md Sohel Rana, Deputy Executive Director, CRTEWU, delivered his closing remarks on the occasion.
A large number of Faculty Members, Students and Officials of EWUCRT of EWU attended the seminar.
