Notre Dame Eco and Space Club is set to organize 5th National Earth and Space Summit in their campus from May 19 to 21.
Students in three categories – Junior (Classes 6-8), Secondary (Classes 9-10, O levels), and Higher Secondary (Classes 11-12, A Levels) – will have a chance to showcase their astronomical talent or learn more about the evolution of this planet in the cosmic arena.
The participants will take part in various solo events including Astronomy Olympiad, sci-fi story writing, Earth Science Olympiad, Star mapping, scrapbooking, earth and astronomy workshops, and a photosphere.
Two workshops, one on Earth and the other on Astronomy, will be conducted each on the two days of the fest, respectively, by prominent instructors and mentors.
The summit will also host a children's craftwork event where students from Nursery to Class 4 will be able to demonstrate their creative talent.
In terms of team events, there will be events like wall magazine, PowerPoint presentation on specified topics related to Earth or Astronomy, eco and space buzz, eco project display, case study, astronomical showcase, and an astro-movie quiz.
