Bangladesh's highest trail marathon has been held at Boga Lake in Ruma upazila in Bandarban.
Compass 360o Adventure Club and Ruma 27 Bengal regiment of the Bangladesh Army organized the marathon around 7am on Friday.
The athletes started the marathon from in front of the army camp in Boga Lake and came back to point zero after circling remote hilly areas, including the Keokradong peak.
According to the organizers, the nation's first ever trail marathon was organized on 21km of hilly track from Boga Lake to Keokradong. A total of 42 athletes from different parts of the country - including nine women - participated in the trail marathon.
Tammat Bin Khoyer came first by completing the marathon in 2 hours and 21 minutes.
Zone Commander of Ruma 27 Bengal Lt Col Md Shahnewaz, founder of Compass 360o Adventure Club, and others were present during the marathon.
