The Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) observed National Mourning Day on Wednesday with due respect and solemnity.
BEPZA Executive Chairman Maj Gen Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, along with his colleagues, placed a floral wreath at the mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka to pay tribute to the father of the nation, said a press statement.
Later, the BEPZA officials took part in a discussion on Bangabandhu, which was followed by special prayers after the zohr prayers.
The BEPZA public schools and colleges operated in all the export processing zones (EPZs) also observed the day in a befitting manner, conducting essay and painting competitions on Bangabandhu.
Commemorating the 43rd death anniversary of Bangabandhu and his family members, BEPZA and eight EPZs under BEPZA lower the national flag to half mast.
