Some voters have allegedly cast their votes in an open booth during the fifth phase of union parishad polls in Rajbari.
People were seen exercising their franchise at an uncovered booth at Boyrat Government Primary School centre in Patta union of Rajbari’s Pangsha upazila at 2:45pm on Wednesday.
Votes are supposed to be cast in private to protect the secrecy of the ballot.
Dismissing the claim, Presiding Officer Liton Kumar Biswas said he had yet to see any irregularities at any booths of the centre.
There were also allegations of some women casting multiple votes after removing the electoral ink from their hands, but Biswas dismissed it as well, saying: “I have not received any allegations of vote rigging.”
