EC: No public servant can be transferred without permission

The letter was sent to the cabinet secretary on 11th November

The Election Commission (EC) has sent a letter to the the cabinet secretary saying that no transfer of any official of autonomous, government and non-governmental organizations, officers and employees of the organization can be made without  prior permission from the commission. 

The letter was sent to the cabinet secretary on 11th November. The EC has issued a circular regarding this as well.

The letter reads: “We request to give order to autonomous, government and non-governmental organizations, officers and employee of organization through a circular that to ensure, no employee can be transferred to other place or given vacation who are engaged in the current election process until are exempted, or not to deployed in any work that may be hamper election duty.”

The letter is in accordance with the Representation of the People Order(RPO)-44(e), where there is a provision for not transferring any employee from day of the election schedule announcement till 15 days after the election results are released without prior permission from the EC.
