The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) awarded scholarships to its highest-achieving students of Fall 2013, Spring 2013 and Summer 2013 semesters on April 19, 2014, at its Dhanmondi Campus.
Nurul Kabir, editor of the daily New Age, was the Chief Guest at the ceremony.
ULAB's Vice-Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman distributed scholarships to the recipients of ULAB's Dean’s Honors List Scholarships while, the Vice Chancellor’s Honors List Scholarships were distributed by Nurul Kabir.
Both scholarships cover full tuition for the semester.
ULAB also awarded it's two most prestigious Named Scholarships, the "Kazi Anisur Rahman Scholarship" to Zulker Naeen, student of Media Studies and Journalism Department and the "A R M Inamul Haq Scholarship" to Tonmoy Kar, student of Department of Business Administration.
Nurul Kabir, the Chief Guest of the Award Ceremony also handed over these scholarships.
These scholarships cover full tuition with a stipend for students of outstanding academic merit and school spirit.
Professor Brian Shoesmith, Senior Advisor, Strategic Planning, gave his welcome speech in the ceremony and Professor Imran Rahman Vice Chancellor of ULAB, gave his closing speech.
Among others, ULAB's Pro Vice Chancellor Professor H M Jahirul Haque; ULAB Registrar Lt Col Md Foyzul Islam, the heads of ULAB departments, professors, faculty members, admin, students and guardians were all present at the program.
