Update : 09 Apr 2025, 01:46 PM

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a restriction on the entry of the general public within a 200-yard radius of SSC and equivalent examination centres, allowing access only to examinees and individuals directly involved in the examination process.

This directive was issued through a public notification signed by DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali on Wednesday.

According to the notification, the SSC, SSC Vocational, Dakhil and Dakhil Vocational examinations for the year 2025 will commence on Thursday at various centres across Dhaka city.

To ensure that the examinations are conducted in a fair and peaceful manner, the DMP has enforced this restriction under the authority granted by Sections 28 and 29 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No III of 1976).

The restriction will remain effective throughout the examination period starting on Thursday.

A total of 1,928,281 candidates are expected to take part in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations.

The written examinations under the nine general education boards will conclude on May 13, while the Dakhil written examinations under the Madrasah Education Board will end on May 15.

Practical examinations will be held from May 16 to May 22.
