Dhaka University has implemented stringent security measures to ensure a peaceful and orderly celebration of the upcoming Durga Puja festival.
Checkpoints have been established at six entrances on the campus.
The six entrances are-- Nilkhet, Palashi, Shahbagh, Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Doel Chattar, and Shahid Minar.
These checkpoints will be operational from October 7 to October 14.
The university authorities have urged all students, faculty, staff, and visitors to carry their identification cards while entering the campus.
To maintain a secure environment, the university has also imposed a strict ban on fireworks within the campus premises during the festival.
This measure aims to prevent any potential safety hazards and disruptions to the celebration.
The university administration has appealed to all members of the university community and visitors to cooperate fully with these security measures. By adhering to these guidelines, everyone can contribute to a peaceful and memorable Durga Puja celebration.
