The students of Jagannath University have criticized the teachers of the university on Facebook for not taking any stand for the students who were injured and killed in the recent violence centring the quota reform movement.
As the teachers of Dhaka University, Jahangirnagar University, and Rajshahi University stood by the students by expressing solidarity with the movement, the JnU students started criticizing of JnU teachers for their silence.
Some have shared posts on Facebook expressing anger and some have posted satirical recruitment notices looking for teachers with strong spinal.

On this day, sharing a post on Facebook, Ratul Hasan, a student of the mathematics department, wrote: "I hate those teachers who leave us in front of the police gun by talking about security.”
A student named Mushfiqur Rahman wrote: “We are saddened by the ultimate demise of JnU teachers.”
Jannatul Mawa Lisa wrote: “I am eagerly waiting for my teachers.”
Taimur Mubin, a student of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, wrote: "I am seeking the forgiveness of the souls of the teachers of my university."
A student named Ishrat Jerin Payal wrote: "JnU teachers, who called themselves student-friendly for so long, will be able to meet with us if the campus opens?"
Meanwhile, outraged students have also made a satirical “Emergency Recruitment Notice”.
In this, they wrote: "It was decided in the emergency meeting of the JnU Students' Syndicate that there is an urgent need for teachers with backbone and student-friendly teachers as there are not enough teachers with backbone at the University. A little low CGPA will be counted, but he should be a conscientious person."
Sheikh Masrick Hasan, the general secretary of the teachers' association, said: "I know that many teachers individually have come out on the streets and spoken on behalf of the students. We support the demands of the agitating students. I think the main demands of the students have already been met. Their other demands are also being accepted. As a result, the movement should end."

Acting President of the Teachers' Association, Professor Dr Md Momin Uddin, said: "The teachers in DU and JU personally held their silent protest program. Before doing this kind of program with the teacher's association, permission has to be obtained by holding a meeting. However, we will have no objection if any teacher at Jagannath University conducts such a program on their own initiative."
