The 45th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) circular — seeking applications for 2,309 posts — has seen the lowest number of applicants in the last six years.
Some 318,000 candidates have submitted applications for the 45th BCS circular, which was published on November 30 last year.
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) sources said candidates had one month to apply to their desired posts, and the deadline was last Saturday.
They also noted that they received some 350,716 applications for the 44th BCS.
The BPSC published the 45th BCS circular on November 30. The application process began on December 10 at 10am.
