AIUB signs MOU with Gujrat National Law University (GNLU), India

They have reached an agreement to promote academic and professional collaboration for future endeavours

American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), India a statutory university founded by the Gujarat Government that solely provides Law programs at the tertiary level. 

GNLU and AIUB have reached an agreement to promote academic and professional collaboration for future endeavours. On behalf of GNLU, Professor Sanjeevi Shantakumar, the vice chancellor and Prof Dr Taslima Monsoor, advisor of the Department of Law – who represented AIUB – signed the MOU, read a media release issued on Thursday

Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Dr Tazul Islam, was in attendance to commemorate this event. The signing took place at AIUB’s Moot Court room. 

Later, in the multipurpose hall of Building D, Professor Sanjeevi Shantakumar met with the students and teachers of the Department of Law. 

Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar is a Research-Based Teaching University, established under the Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003, recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). It provides the most diversified and unique teaching, research, training and extension programs. 

The Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework (GSIRF) ranked GNLU the finest Law School in Gujarat, India. 

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, classified GNLU as the sixth top law school in the country in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking 2021. 

In the India Today Ranking 2021, GNLU is placed fourth among the top Government Law Institutes and fourth best law colleges in the country.
