Kishoreganj University (KiU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) to strengthen academic collaboration and professional development in the fields of accounting and management.
The MoU was signed on Sunday at 2:00 PM. On behalf of ICMAB, the agreement was signed by SM Zahir Uddin Haider FCMA, Chairman of the Education Committee. On behalf of Kishoreganj University, it was signed by Nayla Yasmin, Registrar of the university.
Representing ICMAB at the event were Dr Mamunur Rashid FCMA, Associate Professor and Head of Research and Publication; Arif Hasan ACMA, Professor and Head of the Accounting Department at City College; and Md Abdul Maleque, Additional Director of ICMAB.
From Kishoreganj University, Professor Md Iman Ali, Treasurer of the university, and Asma Akter Sumi, Chairman of the Department of Accounting, along with teachers and students of the department, were present at the event.
The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in professional education, research, training, and skill development. This collaboration is expected to create new opportunities for students to acquire professional knowledge and build successful careers in the accounting profession.
Officials from both Kishoreganj University and ICMAB stated that the partnership will help produce more skilled graduates and improve the quality of professional education in Bangladesh.
