Grand finale of ‘Finwitz 2017’ sees intense competition

The grand finale of "Finwitz 2017," a prestigious finance-based business competition, was held on Sunday at Dhaka Regency Hotel. The event was jointly organized by Institute of Business Administration Communication Club (IBACC), and LR Global Bangladesh – a New York-based investment management firm. The chairperson of the standing committee on Ministry of Finance, Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, was present at the event as the chief guest. The CEO of LR Global Bangladesh AMC Limited, Reaz Islam, was also present as the special guest, while IBA Director Professor Dr AKM Saiful Majid presided over the ceremony. Finatics from IBA won the first prize of BDT 150,000; Beta Bots from the same university won the first runner-up prize of BDT 75,000; and "No Name Consulting" from University of Dhaka won the second runner-up prize of BDT 50,000. The four members of the winning team are Syed Sameem Shahriyar, Mustafid Raiyan Khan, Mohammad Sohrawardy and Abu Tousif Zubayer Ishti.
