A meeting was held at the Krishi Bhaban conference room aimed at enhancing transparency and ensuring greater discipline in the financial management system of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC).
The meeting took place on Sunday, with participation from wing chiefs and department heads of the organization, said a press release.
Addressing the meeting, BADC Chairman Md Azizul Islam emphasized that all officials and employees must act with increased responsibility in order to further strengthen agricultural development and better serve farmers.
He noted that BADC continues to work toward ensuring the efficient supply of essential agricultural inputs to farmers. In this regard, an official directive has already been issued outlining detailed guidelines for seed production, processing, preservation, and distribution to improve seed quality and enhance farmer acceptance at the field level. He stressed that compliance with these instructions is mandatory.
The chairman also directed officials to ensure the timely supply of fertilizers, sale at government-fixed prices, and strict prevention of illegal stockpiling and smuggling. He further instructed proper submission of advance reports in line with fertilizer distribution policies, maintenance of accurate registers, and continuous monitoring of sales activities.
He additionally underscored the importance of transparency and accountability in all operations, calling for strict adherence to PPR 2025 and other applicable financial regulations.
