Bangladesh is set to host its first-ever Broadband Expo 2026 from April 13 to 15 at the Bangladesh–China Friendship Conference Center in the capital. The event aims to highlight the development, innovation, and future potential of the country’s broadband sector.
The three-day exhibition is being organized by the Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB). Details of the event were announced at a press conference held on Saturday at the ISPAB office in Banani, Dhaka.
The theme of this year’s expo is “Linking People, Linking Future.”
Speaking at the press conference, ISPAB leaders said the event will present the current state of Bangladesh’s broadband industry along with future expansion plans and technological advancements.
The inaugural ceremony, scheduled for Monday (April 13), is expected to be attended by Information Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon, MP, as the chief guest. Special guests will include Prime Minister’s Adviser Rehan A Asad, Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Abdun Naser Khan, and Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Major General (retd) Emdad Ul Bari, among others.
The closing ceremony on April 15 will be attended by Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam, MP, as the chief guest. Special guests are expected to include Dhaka South City Corporation Administrator Abdus Salam, ICT Division Secretary Kazi Anwar Hossain, and BTRC Vice Chairman Abu Bakar Siddique.
A grand mezban dinner will be arranged for invited guests following the closing ceremony.
According to organizers, students from various universities will showcase nearly 25 innovative projects based on robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and related technologies. Visitors will be able to experience these projects in a dedicated Experience Zone. In addition, companies from the information and telecommunications sector will display their services, software, hardware, and network products.
The exhibition will feature 10 pavilions, 35 mini pavilions, and 20 stalls, representing leading industry players.

Organizers expressed hope that the expo will contribute to strengthening Bangladesh’s broadband infrastructure, promote digital connectivity, and inspire innovation among students and technology entrepreneurs.
