The newly emerged platform "Gonohottakari Awami League Nishiddhokoron Andolon" called for a "July Revives" program for the next two weeks, aiming to ban the Awami League in an inclusive way and by mass movement formed through unified action and national or majority consensus.

The platform announced this program on Sunday at Dhaka University's Madhur Canteen.

Under the July Revives program, activities will be held demanding the ban of Awami League and justice for mass killing, including meetings with families of martyrs and injured, public outreach, meetings with leaders of various political and social organizations, meetings with civil society members, online-offline promotional campaigns, and wall writings.

Musaddiq Ibne Ali Muhammad, one of the platform's organizers, said that their program will be held nationwide, with participation from representatives of Jagannath University, Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, private universities, and Dhaka College, as well as leaders of the July uprising.

Additionally, he said representatives from Jahangirnagar University have assured them of their support.

The Gonohottakari Awami League Nishiddhokoron Andolon platform warned the interim government that the student mass will not hesitate to cast them aside if they oppose their demands, citing the government's inability to ban the Awami League for various reasons.

They further said that the July mass killing carried out by the Awami League has been acknowledged not only by domestic organizations but also by international human rights bodies and the United Nations.

Beyond the July genocide, there are countless reasons to ban the Awami League, including the Shapla massacre, the Pilkhana tragedy, enforced disappearances, and targeted killings, the platform said.

Earlier, on Saturday, the platform held a mass iftar and sit-in program at the base of the Raju Sculpture at 5pm, demanding the ban of the Awami League.
