Three individuals, including a female Jubo Mohila League leader, have been detained from a procession of Awami League leaders, activists, and supporters in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi 27 area.

On Friday evening, a group of 25 to 30 people brought out the procession on the main road, prompting locals to chase them down and hand over three individuals to the police, confirmed Tejgaon Division's Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jewel Rana.

According to locals, several Awami League leaders and activists took to the streets from an alley near Dhanmondi 27.

At that time, residents chased them, capturing three individuals, who were later beaten before being handed over to Mohammadpur police, they said.

The detained individuals are Laboni, 35, a central member of Jubo Mohila League, local Awami League activists Sirajul, 45, and Raju, 30, confirmed ADC Jewel.

The ADC mentioned that it was too early to determine what actions would be taken against them.
