Police officer suspended for misbehavior with metro rail staff

The police officer misbehaved with the TMO in charge of the metro rail, neglected his responsibilities, and exhibited unprofessional conduct, says Additional Superintendent of Police Abu Ashraf Siddique

Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Masud, who was assigned to the Secretariat Metro Rail Station, has been suspended from his position due to misbehavior, negligence of duties, and unprofessional conduct.

An official order signed by Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Mohammad Abu Ashraf Siddique was issued in this regard on Monday.

The order said that SI Masud Khan was assigned security duties as the in-charge during the second shift on Sunday at the Bangladesh Secretariat Metro Rail Station.

During his duty, around 5pm, he misbehaved with the TMO in charge of the metro rail, neglected his responsibilities, and exhibited unprofessional conduct.

The order further said that in accordance with PRB Rules-880, SI Masud Khan has been temporarily dismissed from his position in the Bangladesh Police Department, effective from Sunday afternoon.

During the temporary dismissal, he will be entitled to a subsistence allowance and is required to adhere to departmental regulations and discipline while remaining attached to the MRT Police Line.
