Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury inspected police patrol operations in Dhaka early on Wednesday, aimed at maintaining law and order.
Faisal Hasan, director of public relations at the Ministry of Home Affairs, said the adviser had visited various key locations and intersections in the capital, observing integrated checkpoints and search posts operated by the police and other law enforcement agencies.
He also inspected several police stations.
Departing from his residence in Baridhara DOHS, the adviser visited locations including Banani Mor, Bijoy Sarani, Manik Mia Avenue, Kalabagan, Eden College and New Market police station.
From there, he proceeded to Shahbagh, Matsya Bhaban, Moghbazar, Hatirjheel, Police Plaza and Gulshan police station.
After completing his inspection, he returned to his residence via United Hospital, observing several nearby alleyways along the way.
During the visit, the adviser interacted with on-duty law enforcement personnel at police stations and checkpoints, providing necessary instructions.
He also directed security forces to remain on high alert to ensure law and order in the capital and across the country.
