An unidentified woman, approximately 45 years old, was killed in a road accident in Dhaka’s Banglamotor area.
The incident occurred on Friday near the Concord Tower in Banglamotor.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Rezaul of Hatirjheel Police Station under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the information.
He said: “On Friday afternoon, the woman was seriously injured after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Banglamotor’s Concord Tower. Upon receiving the report, she was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the on-duty doctor declared her dead. The body has been kept in the hospital morgue for autopsy.”
He further added: “Preliminary findings suggest that the woman was a beggar in the area.
“The CID Crime Scene Unit is working to identify her,” he said.
